Global trading and investment platform eToro has appointed Elena Yiangou as Marketing Manager for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Nordics, reinforcing the broker’s regional marketing leadership as it continues to expand its footprint across key European markets.
Based in Cyprus, Yiangou brings nearly a decade of experience in the retail trading and fintech sectors, with a strong background in marketing strategy, brand development, and event management within the online trading industry.
Prior to joining eToro, Yiangou spent eight years at BDSwiss, where she held a number of marketing and communications roles of increasing responsibility. During her tenure at the brokerage, she played a key role in executing marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening brand visibility and engagement across multiple international markets.
Most recently, Yiangou served as Head of Events at BDSwiss from 2022 to 2024, where she oversaw the planning and execution of global events, industry conferences, and strategic brand activations. In that position, she was responsible for coordinating large-scale campaigns and partnerships that supported the company’s broader marketing and business development objectives.
Her appointment at eToro highlights the company’s continued focus on strengthening its marketing capabilities in Europe, particularly across the CEE and Nordic regions, which remain important growth markets for online trading and investment platforms.
In her new role, Yiangou will be responsible for developing and executing regional marketing strategies designed to increase brand awareness, support customer acquisition, and enhance engagement with retail investors across the targeted markets. She will also work closely with internal teams to align regional campaigns with eToro’s broader global marketing strategy.
Founded in 2007, eToro has established itself as one of the leading social trading platforms globally, offering access to a wide range of financial instruments including stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, and ETFs. The platform is widely known for its social investing features, which allow users to interact with other traders and replicate their strategies through tools such as CopyTrader.
The company has continued to invest in expanding its presence across Europe as demand for digital investment platforms grows among retail traders and investors. Strengthening regional leadership through experienced industry professionals forms a key part of that strategy.
Yiangou’s extensive experience in the trading sector, combined with her track record in marketing execution and event management, is expected to support eToro’s efforts to deepen its engagement with traders and partners across Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordics.
Her appointment reflects the broker’s ongoing commitment to building strong regional teams capable of supporting its long-term growth ambitions in the European market.
