Saxo Bank has promoted Jochem Botermans to Relationship Manager, marking another step forward in his career with the Danish online trading and investment bank.
Botermans announced the promotion through LinkedIn, confirming that he has stepped into the new role with responsibility for supporting a portfolio of high-net-worth and highly active clients.
As Relationship Manager, he will work closely with clients navigating financial markets, providing strategic support around investment and trading while focusing on developing long-term relationships and expanding his professional network.
The promotion reflects Botermans’ continued progression within Saxo Bank, where he has built experience across investment services and client engagement since joining the company in 2023.
Botermans originally joined Saxo Bank in October 2023 as a Junior Investment Specialist, beginning his career with the company after previously working in operations at HDI Global.
Since joining Saxo, his responsibilities have increasingly focused on investments, financial markets and supporting clients with their trading and investment needs.
His career at the bank reached another milestone at the beginning of 2026, when he was promoted to Senior Investment Specialist effective January 1.
At the time, Botermans highlighted the experience he had gained through discussions with colleagues covering market developments, investment opportunities and different asset classes.
Only months later, his move into the Relationship Manager position further expands the client-facing dimension of his role.
In announcing his latest promotion, Botermans said that he will act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of high-net-worth and highly active clients.
His responsibilities will include helping clients navigate financial markets while serving as a strategic sparring partner across investment and trading decisions.
The new position places greater emphasis on building lasting client relationships, understanding individual investment requirements and maintaining close communication with sophisticated and active market participants.
Botermans said he looks forward to expanding his network, developing long-term relationships and continuing his professional growth within Saxo Bank.
He also thanked Ron Stegers for the trust and opportunity associated with his latest career move.
Founded in Copenhagen in 1992, Saxo Bank has developed into an international online trading and investment institution providing access to global capital markets.
According to the company, Saxo currently serves more than 1.5 million clients worldwide, with more than EUR 150 billion in client assets and access to over 71,000 financial instruments through its trading and investment platforms.
The bank operates internationally while maintaining its headquarters in Denmark and has employees representing more than 70 nationalities across offices in 11 countries.
Saxo’s business focuses on providing investors and traders with technology, market access and investment tools across a broad range of global financial markets.
The move to Relationship Manager represents the latest stage in Botermans’ progression from Junior Investment Specialist to Senior Investment Specialist and now into a role centered on relationship management and strategic client engagement.
His promotion demonstrates continued career development within Saxo and gives him greater responsibility for supporting some of the bank’s high-net-worth and most active clients.
With his new position, Botermans is set to combine his investment market experience with an increased focus on client relationships, trading discussions and strategic investment support as he continues his career at Saxo Bank.
