Capital.com Appoints Chris Spenceley as Chief Marketing Officer

Capital.com has appointed Chris Spenceley as its new Chief Marketing Officer, adding an experienced advertising and brand leader to its senior management team as the online trading platform continues to expand across global markets.

Spenceley brings around three decades of experience in advertising and marketing, including senior positions at major global agencies Grey and TBWA, before spending nearly a decade at Ogilvy as Managing Partner.

His appointment comes as Capital.com continues to strengthen its international presence, develop its brand strategy, and invest in the evolution of its trading platform and client experience.

In his new position, Spenceley will be responsible for shaping how Capital.com presents its brand to clients across international markets.

His responsibilities will include overseeing brand positioning, marketing campaigns and creative direction, while helping establish a consistent global identity as the company deepens its presence in existing markets and enters new ones.

The appointment follows Capital.com’s recent redesign of its mobile trading app and the introduction of a refreshed brand positioning built around helping clients make better financial decisions.

Spenceley’s extensive agency background is expected to support the company as it combines creative brand development with a more structured global marketing approach.

Before joining Capital.com, Spenceley built a long career across some of the advertising industry’s most established agencies.

He held senior roles at Grey and TBWA before joining Ogilvy, where he spent almost ten years as Managing Partner. His career has involved working with major brands and developing marketing strategies across different industries and markets.

This combination of creative, strategic and leadership experience brings a different perspective to Capital.com’s executive team as the company continues scaling its international business.

Founded in 2016, Capital.com has grown into an international online trading platform serving clients across more than 180 countries. The company says it currently records more than $100 billion in monthly trading volumes and operates within multiple regulated jurisdictions.

Capital.com has also continued expanding its leadership team and international operations during 2026. Earlier in August, the company appointed Mamoon Sbeih as Chief Strategy Officer, while its recent developments have included expansion into South Africa and continued investment in its trading technology and brand.

With Spenceley now joining as Chief Marketing Officer, Capital.com is strengthening its focus on global brand development as it seeks to reach new audiences and reinforce its position across existing markets.

His appointment marks a new stage in the company’s marketing strategy, with Spenceley set to lead the development of its positioning, campaigns and creative direction as Capital.com enters its next phase of international growth.
