Meritz Securities Launches MOUM Trading Platform with AI Analysis and Global Investor Community

Meritz Securities has launched MOUM, a next-generation mobile trading platform that combines artificial intelligence, investment research, global investor communities and stock-ordering tools in a single ecosystem.

The South Korean securities company officially unveiled MOUM on September 1 at a launch event held at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido, following around 18 months of development.

The platform represents an expansion beyond a traditional mobile trading system, or MTS, with Meritz Securities aiming to connect the entire investment journey—from discovering market opportunities and researching companies to monitoring investor sentiment and executing trades.

According to the company, the name MOUM reflects the concept of bringing previously scattered investment experiences together in one place.

Rather than adding artificial intelligence tools to an existing mobile trading application, Meritz Securities said MOUM was designed from the beginning to integrate AI, market data, community features and trading functions into a single workflow.

Jang-wook Lee, Head of Meritz Securities’ Innoviz Division and an Executive Director, said the platform was designed as more than an MTS focused only on transaction functions.

The company plans to continue expanding the platform by securing high-quality content and objective data while connecting additional services through partnerships with external businesses.

MOUM’s core information services can be accessed without a separate login. Users can join the platform’s community through social login as associate members.

Those who connect Meritz Securities’ online-only Super365 investment account become full members, allowing them to trade domestic and overseas equities and access AI-powered analysis of their portfolios.

One of MOUM’s main features is a finance-focused AI system that selects and summarizes key information from corporate earnings, news, disclosures and research reports.

Users can ask follow-up questions directly from the screen they are viewing, including questions about a company’s growth trends or the reasons behind recent share-price movements.

The system can also highlight important changes related to watchlists, portfolio holdings and recently viewed stocks using account and usage data.

Meritz Securities has additionally integrated Vega AI, the finance-focused AI engine developed by Webull.

The company plans to develop the technology further toward agentic AI, which would be able to understand a user’s investment goals and context before independently searching for and analyzing relevant information.

MOUM’s search function has also been designed to make investment discovery easier.

Users can search using products, brands or everyday keywords even when they do not know the exact name of a listed company. The platform can then display related stocks, investment themes, news and community reactions.

On market screens, MOUM can identify significant developments in real time, including stocks exceeding earnings expectations, reaching new 52-week highs or lows, or experiencing sharp increases in trading volume.

The platform also provides video and audio briefings summarizing important market developments.

MOUM includes tools for comparing exchange-traded funds.

For domestic ETFs, users can compare metrics including market capitalisation, returns, management fees and trading volume for similar products on one screen.

For overseas ETFs, users can compare returns, key indicators and portfolio holdings across up to three selected funds.

Once an investment decision has been made, users do not need to move to a separate trading page.

Orders can be placed directly from the same screen used to view charts or news.

The platform offers two trading interfaces: Easy Mode, which focuses on essential order functions, and Pro Mode, which combines charts, market prices and order information on a single screen.

The portfolio section also allows investors to continue tracking stocks after they have sold them, providing visibility into how those securities perform following the sale.

Meritz Securities highlighted its global investor community as one of MOUM’s key differentiators.

The company has linked its own stock-investor community with content from U.S. social investing platform Stocktwits and global online securities platform Webull.

This allows users to monitor real-time opinions and reactions from U.S.-based investors for individual stocks.

Community posts are automatically translated, with the system designed to account for local slang and the context of expressions rather than simply providing literal translations.
