Capital-markets technology provider Murex has partnered with Google Cloud to make its MX.3 platform deployable on Google Cloud, giving financial institutions another cloud option for trading, treasury, risk and post-trade infrastructure.
The agreement covers workloads used across institutional capital markets, including trading operations, market risk, counterparty risk, intraday analytics, treasury and post-trade processing. These are among the mission-critical functions supported by MX.3.
Murex said the move responds to growing demand from financial institutions for greater flexibility in how they deploy regulated systems. The company also noted that multiple clients are already assessing the possibility of running MX.3 on Google Cloud.
The partnership is designed to combine MX.3 with Google Cloud’s infrastructure, cybersecurity and automation capabilities. The companies said this should support scalable operations while helping institutions address operational resilience and regulatory requirements associated with cloud adoption.
Murex’s platform has more than 60,000 daily users in 65 countries and is used across banking, asset management, energy and commodities markets. Its coverage includes trading, treasury, risk, post-trade operations and investment management.
The move adds another major cloud deployment option for institutions using Murex, as banks and trading firms continue modernizing the technology underpinning front-office, risk and post-trade workflows.
