Capital-markets technology provider Capitolis has hired Jon Gizzie as Head of Financial Resource Management, adding a former Citi executive with extensive experience in capital, liquidity and balance-sheet optimization.
Gizzie will work with banks and institutional investors on solutions aimed at addressing financing, capital and liquidity needs, while helping expand Capitolis’ financial resource management capabilities. He reports directly to company President Okan Pekin.
He most recently served as Global Head of Financial Resources Management for Citi’s Client Organization, overseeing efforts to optimize capital, liquidity and tax resources across businesses and client segments.
His background is closely tied to institutional markets. At Citi, Gizzie also structured derivative solutions for financial institutions, asset managers and pension funds, while his broader career has covered risk transfer, stress testing, broker-dealer regulation and capital planning.
Before Citi, Gizzie spent 13 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers advising private-equity clients on M&A due diligence and transaction strategy.
The appointment comes as banks and trading institutions continue placing greater emphasis on capital efficiency and liquidity management. Capitolis provides technology and marketplace solutions designed to help institutional firms reduce capital constraints and optimize financial resources across trading portfolios.
