Matrixdock has expanded its tokenized gold product XAUm to Circle’s Arc blockchain, adding a new on-chain trading and settlement venue for the gold-backed digital asset.
The September 23 launch brings XAUm/USDC liquidity to Arc through Uniswap, enabling market participants to exchange tokenized gold against the US dollar-backed stablecoin on-chain.
Each XAUm token is backed by one troy ounce of 99.99% pure physical gold sourced from LBMA Good Delivery refineries and held in allocated vaults operated by Brink’s and Malca-Amit.
Matrixdock also introduced same-day access to USDC proceeds for eligible XAUm redemption transactions after required transaction evidence is submitted. The company stressed that the arrangement provides faster access to on-chain dollar liquidity without changing the custody or settlement process of the underlying physical gold.
The move connects gold exposure with Arc’s growing digital-asset infrastructure, opening the door to wider potential use of XAUm across trading, lending and collateral applications.
Arc, developed by Circle, launched its public mainnet on September 16 as a Layer-1 network focused on financial markets, payments and tokenized assets.
Matrixdock says XAUm is the first tokenized gold asset launched on Arc, strengthening the link between traditional precious-metal markets and blockchain-based trading infrastructure.
