Safello has launched a crypto checkout pilot that allows companies to embed cryptocurrency purchases and transfers directly into their existing customer flows.
The service is built on Safello's existing infrastructure and connects through an API, allowing businesses to introduce crypto functionality without developing their own digital-asset infrastructure.
Customers using the checkout become Safello customers through the company's standard KYC process before purchasing crypto assets and transferring them within the same integrated flow.
The service is being offered under Safello's authorization as a crypto-asset service provider under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, or MiCA.
Safello is initially testing the product in Sweden with an external partner, alongside an integration on its own bitcoin.se platform. The pilot will collect information on transaction volumes, conversion rates and customer behaviour before Safello decides whether to develop and broaden the service further.
The company said the financial impact cannot yet be estimated, with potential revenue depending on future integrations, volumes and conversion levels.
