OANDA Appoints Former IG Group Executive Karolina Jasica as Global Compliance Officer

OANDA has appointed Karolina Jasica as Global Compliance Officer, bringing an experienced financial services executive from IG Group into its senior leadership team as the online trading broker continues reshaping its management structure following its acquisition by FTMO.

Based in Krakow, Poland, Jasica will report directly to OANDA Chief Legal Officer Eva Svobodova, who is based in Prague. Her appointment strengthens the company's compliance leadership at a time when regulatory oversight and operational risk management remain important considerations for international forex and contracts for difference (CFD) brokers.

Jasica joins OANDA after more than four years at IG Group, where she most recently served as Head of Compliance Monitoring, Assurance and Regulated Complaints. Her responsibilities involved overseeing compliance assurance activities, regulatory monitoring, and processes related to regulated customer complaints.

Before joining IG Group, Jasica spent approximately 15 years at State Street, holding several senior positions across investment compliance, analytics, and operational management in Ireland and Poland.

During her time at State Street, she served as Global Head of Investment Compliance at Managing Director level, overseeing compliance operations across multiple European and US jurisdictions. Her responsibilities included client onboarding, ongoing monitoring, regulatory reporting, and coordination between internationally distributed compliance teams.

She also held the position of Country Head of Investment Analytics, overseeing activities involving investment compliance, performance measurement, market data, and securities lending.

Her professional background includes involvement in technology migration projects, operational transformation, and the development of compliance frameworks supporting complex financial services operations.

The appointment comes during a period of significant management changes at OANDA following its acquisition by Prague-based proprietary trading firm FTMO from CVC Capital Partners in December 2025.

Following the transaction, FTMO co-founders Otakar Šuffner and Marek Vašíček assumed leadership of OANDA as Co-Chief Executive Officers, introducing a new management structure intended to guide the brokerage's next stage of development.

Jasica's arrival also follows the appointment of another former IG Group executive, Paweł Latocha, as Head of Operational Risk at OANDA Group. Latocha subsequently joined the management board of OANDA TMS, further strengthening the broker's risk management leadership.

OANDA has experienced several other executive changes in recent months, including the departure of former Chief Risk Officer Mark Chesterman and former global marketing executive Darren Moffett.

Meanwhile, IG Group has been undergoing its own organizational changes, including workforce reductions and adjustments to its management structure. However, no direct connection has been established between these developments and Jasica's decision to join OANDA.

Jasica confirmed her new position through LinkedIn, expressing enthusiasm about working with OANDA's global compliance team to improve internal processes, strengthen compliance standards, and support the company's business strategy.

The appointment brings substantial international regulatory experience to OANDA as the broker continues operating across multiple markets with different financial services requirements.

For global forex and CFD providers, compliance oversight is particularly important in areas such as client protection, regulatory reporting, conduct monitoring, and managing the operational requirements of cross-border financial services.

Jasica's appointment reflects OANDA's continued efforts to strengthen its management team and compliance capabilities as the company progresses through its post-acquisition transition under FTMO's ownership.
