OpenFX Launches Ventures Arm to Invest in FX and Stablecoin Infrastructure

OpenFX has launched OpenFX Ventures, a new investment arm designed to support emerging fintech companies developing technologies for cross-border payments, foreign exchange infrastructure and digital asset settlement.

Announced on October 8, 2026, the initiative will invest alongside lead investors in startups ranging from Seed to Series B, targeting companies across the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

OpenFX Ventures will focus on four areas: next-generation financial applications, routing and clearing infrastructure, onchain credit and AI-powered payment operations. Its investment priorities include spot FX settlement, local-currency stablecoins and technologies supporting more efficient financial transactions.

The company aims to help startups overcome barriers associated with international expansion, including regulatory complexity, banking partnerships, access to liquidity and payment infrastructure. In addition to investment capital, portfolio companies will receive access to OpenFX's international network, preferential product pricing and technical support.

Karan Shah, Chief of Staff at OpenFX, is leading the initiative, while founder and CEO Prabhakar Reddy emphasized the need to modernize cross-border financial infrastructure and support companies developing more efficient alternatives to traditional correspondent banking.

According to OpenFX, its platform has reached more than $80 billion in annualized payment volume in less than two years, serving over 100 fintech companies across multiple international markets.

The launch reflects growing investment interest in financial technologies that combine stablecoin settlement, automated payment operations and programmable infrastructure to improve the speed and efficiency of global money movement.
