Bitpanda Enterprise Partners with Fibank to Bring Crypto Trading to Bulgaria

Bitpanda Enterprise has partnered with Bulgaria's First Investment Bank (Fibank) to introduce cryptocurrency investment services directly through the My Fibank mobile banking application, marking a significant development in the integration of digital assets into traditional banking.

Announced on October 7, 2026, the partnership will enable Fibank's more than one million customers to access digital assets alongside their existing banking services. The offering is expected to launch in early 2027, making Fibank the first bank in Bulgaria to integrate cryptocurrency investment access into its mobile application.

Under the agreement, Bitpanda Enterprise will provide the underlying digital asset technology and infrastructure, including the capabilities needed to support cryptocurrency investment services. The crypto services will be provided by Bitpanda, allowing Fibank to introduce digital assets through its existing digital banking platform.

Nadeem Ladki, Global Head of Bitpanda Enterprise, highlighted the growing role of traditional banks in bringing cryptocurrency services to mainstream financial customers, emphasizing the importance of providing secure and accessible infrastructure for digital asset adoption.

Fibank CEO Nikola Bakalov described the partnership as a natural step in the evolution of the My Fibank application, as customers increasingly seek broader financial services through familiar digital platforms.

The collaboration reflects growing interest among European financial institutions in integrating cryptocurrency services into conventional banking channels, reducing the need for customers to rely exclusively on standalone crypto exchanges.

Bitpanda Enterprise already supports digital asset services for financial institutions across multiple markets, including partnerships with N26, Société Générale and Deutsche Börse Group.

The upcoming launch represents another step toward wider institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies, as established banks expand their digital investment offerings to meet changing customer demand.
