DriveWealth Partners with Ripple to Expand Stablecoin Funding for Global Trading

DriveWealth, a global Brokerage-as-a-Service provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Ripple to integrate stablecoin-based funding, payments and digital asset infrastructure into its international investing and trading operations.

The collaboration aims to improve how institutional clients move, settle and manage funds across markets by using blockchain-based financial infrastructure alongside traditional brokerage services.

Under the arrangement, DriveWealth plans to use Ripple's US dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, on the XRP Ledger to support the funding and management of collateral accounts, allowing eligible institutional clients to move capital without depending entirely on conventional banking transfer windows.

The companies intend to enable stablecoin transfers that can be converted into cash in near real time, potentially reducing delays associated with cross-border payments and improving the availability of funds for trading.

The development is particularly relevant to DriveWealth's existing 24-hour, five-day equity trading capabilities, where investors may be able to access markets outside normal banking hours but still face restrictions on moving collateral and settling payments.

Naureen Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of DriveWealth, said the partnership is intended to align funding capabilities with the company's extended trading services, allowing clients to manage their capital more efficiently across time zones.

Beyond stablecoin settlement, the partnership includes plans to integrate Ripple's payment, liquidity and custody capabilities into DriveWealth's broader financial infrastructure.

The companies are also exploring additional institutional services through Ripple Prime, potentially extending the collaboration into financing and prime brokerage activities.

The initial rollout is expected to focus on European markets before a planned expansion to the United States, subject to operational and regulatory requirements.

The partnership reflects growing interest among brokerage infrastructure providers in using regulated digital assets to improve settlement efficiency, reduce capital friction and support continuous access to international investment markets.
