LSEG FX has appointed Chris Soutar as Director, Global Strategic Lead – FX Swaps, adding an experienced institutional foreign exchange executive to its team as the company continues to develop its capabilities across the global FX market.
Soutar announced the appointment on LinkedIn, marking his latest senior role within the institutional trading industry. His new position places him at the center of LSEG FX’s strategy for FX swaps, an important segment of the global foreign exchange market used extensively by banks, asset managers, corporations and other institutional participants for funding, liquidity and currency-risk management.
Soutar brings extensive experience across institutional FX sales, electronic trading and financial-market infrastructure. His career has included positions with several major companies operating across the foreign exchange and digital-asset markets.
Before joining LSEG FX, Soutar worked at Talos, where he served as Sales Director for EMEA, contributing to the institutional digital-asset technology provider’s commercial development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Earlier in his career, Soutar held roles at 360T, Deutsche Börse Group’s institutional foreign exchange trading platform, as well as Eurex, Investec and Currenex. His experience across trading venues, financial institutions and technology providers gives him broad exposure to the infrastructure supporting institutional currency markets.
His appointment comes as institutional FX businesses continue to invest in technology, liquidity solutions and workflow efficiency amid evolving market structures and increasing demand for sophisticated electronic trading capabilities.
In his new role, Soutar will bring that experience to LSEG FX’s global strategy for FX swaps, strengthening the company’s leadership resources within one of the most significant areas of institutional currency trading.
