Rival Systems has expanded its multi-asset trading platform, Rival One, with the addition of spot foreign exchange and FX forwards, extending the platform across six major asset classes.
With the new functionality, Rival One now supports futures, options, equities, crypto, spot FX and FX forwards within a single trading environment. The expansion allows institutional trading firms to manage listed and over-the-counter products through a unified order, position and risk workflow rather than relying on separate systems for foreign exchange activity.
Rival said the platform uses the same underlying infrastructure, APIs and risk controls across asset classes, helping firms maintain a consistent workflow while trading products with different market structures.
The platform also supports connectivity to multiple FX brokers, allowing clients to maintain relationships with their preferred liquidity providers while accessing those connections through Rival One.
The addition of FX forwards broadens the platform’s use beyond execution into areas such as currency hedging, treasury management and portfolio risk, where firms may need to manage future foreign-exchange exposure alongside other asset classes.
According to Rival Systems CEO Rob D’Arco, the expansion is part of the company’s strategy to bring multiple markets into one trading environment and reduce the need for professional trading desks to switch between separate platforms.
The update strengthens Rival One’s positioning as a multi-asset institutional trading and risk-management system as trading firms increasingly seek consolidated technology for execution, exposure monitoring and cross-asset strategies.
