Global online investment platform XTB has reported significant growth in its customer base during the first nine months of 2026, attracting nearly 1.04 million new clients and bringing its total number of customers to approximately 3.14 million.
The figures, disclosed in the company's preliminary third-quarter results on October 29, represent a 64.8% year-on-year increase in its overall client base and highlight the continued expansion of its international investment business.
XTB also reported a substantial increase in client engagement, with the number of active customers reaching a record 1.56 million, representing annual growth of 70.3%.
During the third quarter alone, the brokerage attracted more than 335,000 new clients, exceeding its quarterly acquisition target of between 250,000 and 290,000 customers.
The growth was supported by marketing activities, international expansion, and continued development of the company's investment products and trading services.
XTB has been pursuing a strategy to transform its platform from a traditional contracts-for-difference brokerage into a broader investment application offering access to stocks, exchange-traded funds, and long-term savings products.
This strategic shift is increasingly reflected in customer behavior. According to the company, approximately 84.4% of new clients begin their investment journeys through stocks, ETFs, or investment plans rather than traditional leveraged trading products.
Client assets also reached a new record of approximately €12.7 billion at the end of September 2026, including €5.8 billion invested in stocks and €5.3 billion in ETFs.
The company's financial performance improved alongside its expanding customer base. Consolidated net profit reached approximately €49.3 million in the third quarter, representing growth of more than 295% compared with the corresponding period in 2025.
XTB Chief Executive Officer Omar Arnaout highlighted the company's ability to deliver strong results despite relatively calmer financial market conditions during the quarter.
The latest results indicate that XTB's investment in customer acquisition, product diversification, and international market development is contributing to sustained business growth.
As competition among global online trading providers intensifies, the company's expanding customer base and increasing assets under management and custody demonstrate the growing importance of offering both active trading and long-term investment services through a single platform.
