StoneX Strengthens APAC FX Presence with New Singapore Booking Center

StoneX Group has expanded its foreign exchange operations across Asia-Pacific with the launch of a new Singapore FX booking center and SG1 connectivity.

The new setup provides institutional and corporate clients with local pricing and execution during APAC trading hours, strengthening the group’s regional FX infrastructure and complementing its existing NY4 and LD4 hubs.

Operating locally from Singapore is expected to improve execution and operational efficiency by reducing reliance on overnight handovers and providing support more closely aligned with regional market hours.

As part of the expansion, the company has also introduced seven additional offshore Chinese yuan (CNH) pairs and enhanced liquidity across several regional currencies, including JPY, SGD, HKD, KRW, TWD, INR, IDR, PHP and THB, as well as AED.

The expanded infrastructure is designed to support a range of institutional requirements, from high-frequency FX flows to corporate treasury and hedging activities, while improving access to regional liquidity.

Gerard Melia, Global Head of FX Sales, described the Singapore launch as an important step in strengthening the firm’s Asia-Pacific offering, with regional pricing and execution bringing services closer to clients.

Greg Kallinikos, CEO of APAC, also highlighted Singapore’s role as a major global FX hub and the importance of establishing infrastructure closer to clients across the region.

The launch reflects the group’s broader push to strengthen its institutional trading capabilities and localized infrastructure across Asian financial markets.
