U.S. stock index futures are declining today

U.S. stock index futures saw a noticeable decline during Thursday's trading, as investors shifted to a risk-averse stance amid low trading volumes due to the holiday, in a week that has been relatively quiet in terms of economic data.

Regarding trading, the performance of the March futures contracts for U.S. stock indices today was as follows:

Dow Jones 30 futures, reflecting the industrial sector, fell by 0.35% or 145 points to register at 43,493 points. S&P 500 futures declined by 0.41% or 25 points to 6,072.00 points. Nasdaq 100 futures, reflecting the technology sector, dropped by 0.47% or 102 points to 21,922.25 points. This comes as markets await the release of last week's unemployment claims data later today.
