OKX has appointed Juan Silva as VIP Director for the UAE, strengthening its senior client coverage in one of the region’s most important digital-asset markets.
Silva confirmed the move in a recent LinkedIn update, saying he has joined OKX to lead and grow the company’s VIP business in the UAE while continuing to develop relationships with high-value clients and partners.
Nearly Four Years at Bybit
Before joining OKX, Silva spent almost four years at Bybit, where he built extensive experience working with VIP and high-volume trading clients.
He joined Bybit in 2022 as a VIP Relationship Manager and later progressed into a leadership position, managing relationship managers and working with VIP clients across multiple markets.
Silva was also involved in Bybit’s development in Dubai from an early stage, before the company had established its full local office presence. His experience there gave him exposure to the expansion of a global crypto exchange within the UAE market.
Focus on OKX’s UAE VIP Business
In his new role, Silva will focus on expanding OKX’s VIP client business in the UAE, including strengthening relationships with active traders, professional investors and key market partners.
The appointment comes as competition among global cryptocurrency exchanges continues to intensify in the UAE, where firms are investing in local teams and specialized client services.
Silva’s move to VIP Director for the UAE brings established crypto relationship-management experience to OKX as the exchange continues developing its presence and high-value client offering in the market.
