London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has agreed to acquire financial data and analytics provider Octus for approximately $3.54 billion, marking a significant expansion of its credit market intelligence capabilities.
The transaction is designed to strengthen LSEG's position in financial data, fixed-income analytics, and private credit information services.
Octus specializes in credit intelligence and workflow solutions used by investment banks, asset managers, and other financial market participants, particularly in complex and illiquid debt markets.
Integrating Octus into LSEG's existing data infrastructure is expected to broaden the group's analytical capabilities and strengthen its competitive position in the rapidly developing private credit market.
The acquisition comes as financial information providers increase investment in data analytics and artificial intelligence to support institutional investment decisions.
Alongside the announcement, LSEG raised its 2026 growth outlook following strong third-quarter performance.
The agreement represents another major step in LSEG's development as a global financial data and market infrastructure provider.
