Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy rejected a claim from U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, stating that Trump was caught in a "disinformation bubble." Trump had incorrectly stated that Zelenskiy's popularity rating was at a low 4%.
Zelenskiy's comments came a day after Trump accused him of initiating the conflict with Russia and claimed that he was widely unpopular among the Ukrainian populace. In response, Zelenskiy indicated that Trump was echoing misinformation about the situation, which he believes originates from Moscow.
Addressing the 4% claim, Zelenskiy said during a news conference aired on Ukrainian television, "As we are talking about 4%, we have seen this disinformation, we understand it's coming from Russia."
Zelenskiy further added that Trump is unfortunately living in this disinformation space and surrounded by a disinformation bubble. He also dismissed the idea of him being replaced, stating that such attempts would not be successful.
