Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Insurance and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co (TADAWUL:2081), which rose 4.15% or 6.80 points to trade at 170.60 at the close. Meanwhile, ADES Holding Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2382) added 3.19% or 0.60 points to end at 19.40 and Taleem REIT Fund (TADAWUL:4333) was up 3.19% or 0.32 points to 10.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240), which fell 5.30% or 0.45 points to trade at 8.04 at the close. Sustained Infrastructure Holding Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2190) declined 5.05% or 1.85 points to end at 34.75 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) was down 5.01% or 1.45 points to 27.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 195 to 80 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240) fell to all time lows; falling 5.30% or 0.45 to 8.04.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.51% or 0.37 to $73.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.48% or 0.37 to hit $77.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 11.00 to trade at $2,358.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.14% to 4.08, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
