Ford Motor recalls more than 355,000 vehicles in the United States

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Wednesday the recall of Ford Motor Company for over 355,000 vehicles in the United States due to a potential defect in the dashboard display.

The administration explained that this defect could affect drivers' ability to monitor essential vehicle information, such as speed and fuel level, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that Ford will address the defect by updating the dashboard software, either through an authorized dealer or via an over-the-air update that can be performed directly on the vehicle without needing to visit the dealer.

For its part, Ford Motor confirmed that this step is part of its commitment to the safety of its customers and maintaining the quality of its vehicles, and that the recall is a precautionary measure to prevent any potential issues.

Ford's latest recall is part of a series of recalls the company has experienced in recent years due to safety and technical issues in vehicles. This recall includes a variety of vehicles from different models, where affected vehicle owners can check their vehicle identification numbers on the Ford website or by contacting authorized dealers to ensure the dashboard software is updated.
