Kraken Appoints Donato Silvestri as Head of EMEA Prime Sales to Strengthen Institutional Business
Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has appointed Donato Silvestri as Head of EMEA Prime Sales, strengthening its institutional leadership team as the company continues developing its services for professional investors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Silvestri takes on the position after serving for more than a year as an Institutional Sales Manager at Kraken. His promotion brings additional experience in institutional client relationships, prime brokerage services and alternative investments to the exchange's regional operations.
Before joining Kraken, Silvestri spent nearly four years at BNP Paribas as an Executive Director responsible for sales and relationship management in alternatives. Earlier, he held positions at JPMorgan, including responsibilities covering EMEA platform sales and prime and alternative investment services. His career also includes experience at UniCredit.
His appointment reflects the importance of experienced institutional sales leadership as cryptocurrency exchanges compete to attract hedge funds, asset managers and other professional market participants.
For Kraken, strengthening its EMEA Prime Sales function supports its broader efforts to serve institutional clients seeking access to digital asset markets through established trading and relationship-management structures.
