Stephen joins Zodia Custody with a proven track record as a strategic and commercially driven finance leader, bringing with him deep expertise in scaling and transforming businesses across banking, consumer finance, and high-growth technology and fintech sectors.
Most recently, Stephen served as CFO at Bitstamp, one of the world’s longest-standing cryptocurrency exchanges. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial and operational transformation, culminating in its successful acquisition by Robinhood. His leadership in guiding the firm through a period of strategic growth and change has been widely recognized within the industry.
Before joining Bitstamp, Stephen gained over 15 years of senior finance leadership experience at globally recognized institutions. His career journey includes roles at Amazon, where he supported the company’s ambitious expansion initiatives, and McKinsey & Company, where he provided strategic advice on finance and operations to leading businesses. He has also held leadership positions at IPF plc, PwC, and Barclays Bank, equipping him with a diverse and comprehensive background across both traditional financial services and innovative technology-driven environments.
At Zodia Custody, Stephen will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, strengthening the firm’s commercial capabilities, and supporting its continued global expansion.
