South Korea’s Samsung SDI has agreed to supply Tesla with Energy Storage System (ESS) batteries worth more than 3 trillion won ($2.11 billion) over a three-year period, according to a Monday report by the Korea Economic Daily.
The publication cited an unnamed source from the battery industry regarding the deal between the South Korean battery manufacturer and the U.S. electric vehicle maker.
