Trade Nation is set to appoint Karman Wong as Commercial Director, Emerging Markets, adding an experienced APAC and Greater China executive to its senior commercial team. Wong will join the broker after more than 13 years at IG Group, where she most recently served as Head of Emerging Markets APAC.
Based in Australia, Wong brings extensive experience across foreign exchange, CFDs, business development and emerging-market strategy, with a particular focus on Greater China and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Wong began her career at IG in 2013 as a Sales Trader before being promoted to Vice President, China in 2016. She later spent around two years in the company’s Shanghai office before returning to Melbourne in 2018 as International Business Development Manager for Greater China.
Since 2020, she has served as Head of Emerging Markets APAC, overseeing IG’s business with clients based in mainland China and developing the company’s presence across emerging Asian markets.
As Commercial Director, Emerging Markets, Wong is expected to support Trade Nation’s expansion across developing international markets, leveraging her experience in regional client acquisition, market development and commercial strategy.
Her appointment also strengthens Trade Nation’s leadership presence in Australia. The broker operates locally through Trade Nation Australia Pty Ltd, which is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission under AFSL 422661.
The move also continues a broader trend of former IG executives joining Trade Nation’s leadership team. CEO Jon Noble previously held senior roles at IG, while the company appointed former Capital.com CEO and IG alumnus Kypros Zoumidou as Managing Director in 2025.
At the time the move was first reported, neither Trade Nation nor IG had publicly confirmed the appointment. However, Wong’s move represents a significant addition to Trade Nation’s commercial leadership as the broker looks to develop its presence across emerging markets.
