Crypto.com and River Markets Partner to Expand Institutional Access to Prediction Markets

Crypto.com Exchange and prediction markets platform OG.com have signed a memorandum of understanding with River Markets, a San Francisco-based prime brokerage, to expand institutional access to regulated prediction markets and digital asset trading services.

The proposed collaboration will connect River Markets' institutional trading infrastructure with OG.com's event-contract markets and Crypto.com Exchange's cryptocurrency liquidity, allowing eligible professional traders to access a broader range of trading opportunities through an integrated platform.

Under the arrangement, eligible US institutional clients, including hedge funds and quantitative trading firms, are expected to gain access to prediction contracts covering economic developments, financial markets, political events and other categories.

River Markets specializes in execution technology, portfolio management and risk management infrastructure designed specifically for prediction markets. The company says its systems have routed more than 150 million contracts, enabling professional trading firms to manage positions across multiple trading venues.

OG.com operates through regulated US derivatives infrastructure, including a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-supervised designated contract market and clearing organization.

The partnership highlights the increasing institutional interest in prediction markets, which enable participants to trade contracts linked to the outcomes of future events.

For Crypto.com Exchange, the agreement represents an opportunity to extend its institutional services by connecting cryptocurrency trading infrastructure with a developing segment of the derivatives market.

Meanwhile, River Markets could benefit from additional liquidity access and regulated event-contract markets, helping institutional investors manage trading strategies through a unified execution environment.

The companies have not disclosed financial terms or a specific commercial launch date for the integration. The agreement is expected to support future connectivity rather than representing a completed platform rollout.
