Institutional digital asset liquidity provider B2C2 has appointed Elizabeth Rossiello, founder of BitPesa and AZA Finance, as Chief Operating Officer, strengthening its executive leadership as the company expands its activities across cryptocurrency trading, institutional liquidity and digital financial infrastructure.
Rossiello brings extensive experience in financial technology, foreign exchange and international payment systems. She founded BitPesa in Nairobi in 2013, initially focusing on blockchain-based cross-border payments before expanding the business into AZA Finance, a provider of foreign exchange, treasury management and payment solutions serving businesses across Africa and international markets.
Under her leadership, AZA Finance developed a financial infrastructure network connecting African economies with global markets. The business has reported processing more than $9 billion in transactions, demonstrating the scale of the operations Rossiello helped establish.
Her appointment comes as institutional digital asset providers increasingly explore opportunities beyond conventional cryptocurrency trading, including stablecoin settlement, liquidity management and cross-border financial services.
B2C2, which is majority-owned by Japanese financial group SBI Holdings, provides institutional trading services and liquidity solutions to financial institutions, hedge funds, exchanges and other professional market participants.
Rossiello's background in payments and emerging-market financial infrastructure could support B2C2's efforts to develop services connecting traditional financial systems with digital asset markets.
The appointment also reflects the growing convergence between cryptocurrency market infrastructure, foreign exchange services and international payments, as financial institutions continue exploring blockchain-based solutions for more efficient global transactions.
