Australian digital asset platform Swyftx has appointed Andrea Yuen as Chief Executive Officer, making permanent a leadership role she had been carrying on an interim basis since April 2026.
Yuen had been serving as acting Co-CEO alongside Swyftx Co-Founder and Director Alex Harper following the departure of former CEO Jason Titman. With the latest appointment, Yuen will take full responsibility for leading the company, while Harper returns to his board duties as Executive Director.
Yuen joined Swyftx as Chief Financial Officer in January 2025 and was promoted to acting Co-CEO in April 2026. Her elevation to permanent CEO reflects the company board’s confidence in her leadership during a period of significant regulatory and product development.
She brings more than two decades of senior financial-services experience across Australia and Asia. Before joining Swyftx, Yuen held executive roles at PwC and previously spent several years as a Managing Director at Lazard.
The appointment comes as Swyftx broadens its business beyond traditional cryptocurrency trading.
The company secured an Australian Financial Services Licence in July 2026 and has expanded into products including leveraged trading and exposure to traditional assets alongside digital assets.
Yuen said her focus will be on maximizing Swyftx’s growth potential as a regulated financial platform and building on recent developments across trading, lending and investment services.
Swyftx is headquartered in Brisbane and serves more than one million customers across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Alongside Yuen’s appointment, Cathryn Lyall has been confirmed as Chair of Swyftx, after serving in an interim capacity since April.
Yuen’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer marks the latest stage in her rapid progression at Swyftx and places her at the center of the company’s strategy as it evolves from a crypto-focused brokerage into a broader regulated investment platform.
