In a press conference held on Monday, China's envoy to the United Nations, Fu Cong, stated that his country would file a complaint with the World Trade Organization WTO against the United States in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's unexpected decision to impose a 10% tariff on U.S. imports from China.

The remarks by the Chinese envoy at the United Nations came following the announcement by the U.S. administration regarding the tariff decision on China, and despite Trump's statement that he would speak to China within the next 24 hours to reach an agreement, it does not seem that there is any room for China to accept these new tariffs.
