Tesla’s sales in Germany drop in February

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) experienced a significant drop in its sales volume in Germany in February, with a decline of more than three quarters, as reported by the German road traffic agency KBA. This comes even as the overall sales of electric vehicles in the country saw an increase.

As per the data available on the KBA’s website, Tesla managed to sell 1,429 cars in Germany. This marks a 76% decrease in sales, a steeper drop compared to the 60% decline experienced in January. Meanwhile, the overall sales of electric vehicles in Germany witnessed a rise of 30.8%, amounting to 35,949 vehicles sold.

This decline in Tesla’s sales volume in Germany is notable given the overall uptick in electric vehicle sales in the country. However, it’s important to note that the data provided by the KBA only pertains to the month of February and does not indicate any long-term trends or implications.

The KBA’s data is crucial in providing an understanding of the market dynamics of electric vehicles in Germany, one of the largest automotive markets in the world. While Tesla’s sales have seen a decline in February, the overall market for electric vehicles in the country continues to grow.
